Russian Ministry of Interior Affairs struggles with policemen`s driving violations
"Driving on dirty "Zhigul" automobile on median strip is not good", - said first vice-minister of Interior Affairs Aleksandr Chekalin.
Ministry of Interior Affairs organized contest-inspection of politeness among policemen-drivers in Russia from October 1 to November 1.
Aleksandr Chekalin said that those policemen, who are involved in violation of rules of a road, will be punished except situations when their behavior is dictated by official necessity.
"The situation on roads will definitely improve", - noticed Chekalin.
He reminded that some time ago minister appealed to personal staff of Interior Affairs agencies with a request to be more polite and kind with citizens.
Chekalin pointed out that in estimate of agencies` work along with crime detection became important such characteristics as amount of complaints from citizens and cases of disciplinary and criminal proceedings among policemen. Negative publications about policemen work in mass media are also taken into account. "These moral characteristics are very important and will dominate in attestation and assignment on leading positions".
